Scott Bain was a popular player during his time at Celtic.
Despite largely being a back-up option at Celtic, he was still highly regarded, but felt the time was right to move in the summer.
Bain joined newly-promoted Falkirk, who are managed by John McGlynn, and they have Stephen McGinn as part of their coaching staff.
The former midfielder, who is a boyhood Celtic fan, shared what Bain is like inside the dressing room, as well as the impact he has made on the team.

Stephen McGinn hails Celtic favourite Scott Bain at Falkirk
Speaking on Go Radio, McGinn shared that he once played with Bain at Dundee, so he already knew about his outspoken character.
But now in the colours of Falkirk, McGinn has shared that the players inside the dressing room ‘absolutely love’ Bain.
This will delight the Celtic Park faithful, but what’s even better is that McGinn feels Bain has been their ‘best player’ during the opening months of the season.
“Someone like Scott Bain, in our dressing room, the boys absolutely love him,” said McGinn. “I played with him at Dundee. I loved him at Dundee.
“He was a young goalie. We had just signed him. He had been released from Aberdeen, went to Alloa, and played for Alloa. Paul Hartley signed him for Dundee.
“I remember we had some high-profile players at the time. Some big personalities. At half-time, Paul Hartley was saying, ‘What’s going on? Why is it going wrong?’ And Scott Bain was like, ‘the midfielders aren’t tracking runners.’ Calling them out.
“He always had that wee edge. He doesn’t care what he says. Honestly, what a signing he has been. Probably our best player this season. Massive in the dressing room as well.”
How is Bain faring at Falkirk after his Celtic exit?
It’s going to be a difficult season for Falkirk, because they are newly promoted, so staying in the Premiership will be seen as a huge success.
After seven matches, Falkirk are sitting tenth in the league on six points, three points behind fourth-placed Dundee United, so things can change pretty quickly.
Bain has already played against Celtic, losing 4-1 in the League Cup, as he has kept three clean sheets in all competitions since moving to Falkirk.
- Bain’s games for Falkirk: 10
- Goals conceded: 17
- Clean sheets: 3
