There have been a lot of disparaging comments made about Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou and Celtic this season.
Postecoglou’s struggles at Spurs have meant that the English media have been taking potshots at the Premier League manager and his success at Celtic.
Those comments got so bad that Chris Sutton hit back at Celtic snipers as he accused the English media of snobbery towards Postecoglou and the Parkhead club.
One such critic was talkSPORT’s Alex Crook who went on an incredible rant about Postecoglou and Celtic back in February this year.
I bet he wishes he didn’t now.

talkSPORT rant on Celtic and Ange Postecoglou looks really daft now
Ange said back in February that he always wins trophies in his second season at clubs.
The comment was met with derision from many sections of the English media but for Alex Crook on talkSPORT, it seemed to have really hit a nerve.
Crook ranted back in February, “It’s a ridiculous thing to say, I always win trophies in my second season.
“You put so much pressure on yourself. He’s not managing Celtic anymore which, effectively, is two-horse race.
“He’s managing a Tottenham team who never win anything. So to say, I’m going to win a trophy this season, which is effectively what he was saying, to put so much pressure on himself.
“And this is a guy who everybody was lauding, because the start he made at Spurs. 26 points from his first 10 Premier League games. Since then, they’ve lost 20 out of 45 Premier League games. So I’ll ask the question, apart from that first two months honeymoon period, what has Ange Postecoglou actually done as top manager to come out with such a bold claim?”
Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou is under serious pressure at Spurs
Postecoglou’s Europa League win seemed to have bought the Australian some time with the Tottenham fans.
However, reports today suggest that Postecoglou’s future at Spurs could be under serious threat.
But even if the former Celtic boss is sacked by Daniel Levy next week, he can always stick two fingers up to Crook and the rest of the critics who showed him complete disrespect over his time at the Premier League club.
