It’s certainly been a strange weekend for pundits having a wee go at Celtic, hasn’t it.
Brendan Rodgers kicked-off the new Scottish Premiership campaign as Celtic beat St Mirren last weekend at Parkhead.
Admittedly, the performance wasn’t pretty but Celtic got the job done and the season off to a winning start.
Rangers, on the other hand, have now dropped four points out of their first two matches and could trail Celtic by the same amount should the Bhoys beat Aberdeen this afternoon.
Hugh Keevins was the first pundit of the weekend to make daft comments about Celtic and now, it seems, that Tam McManus joins him as he gets the Parkhead feelings about the transfer window completely wrong.

Tam McManus accuses Celtic fans of transfer ‘bed-wetting’
A lot has been made of the Celtic supporters’ reaction to this summer’s transfer window but never has this been said.
McManus said on PLZ Soccer, “I think when you look at the players they’ve lost, Nicolas Kuhn was a massive player. They made a lot of money on him.
“They brought in Shin Yamada, I think he’s probably a back-up striker and they need to strengthen in the forward areas and the wide areas, for me.
“Obviously they’ve got Jota, who’s still to come back into the team, But you’re right. I think Celtic seem to do a lot of their work towards the end of the window.
“I think they’re playing poker, they’re trying to get the best value. But a lot of their work is done late and there’s a lot of bed-wetting among Celtic supporters just now, because Rangers are spending money and they’re bringing players in who are decent.
“Celtic have not been doing much in the transfer market, but I think on September 1st, I think we’ll see a vastly different Celtic team you’re seeing just now. I think they will bring three or four players in.”
McManus seems to be suggesting that Celtic fans are panicking about this transfer window because of what Rangers are doing in the transfer market.
Regardless of what the Ibrox club does, the majority of Celtic fans are more worried about the standards dropping at the club as they can see that the Hoops first-team squad is significantly weaker now than it was at the end of last season.
As for McManus thinking Celtic fans are panicked over Rangers’ transfer business, how is that working out for them after just two games this season?
Celtic’s game against Aberdeen is huge in terms of the Rangers Glasgow Derby now
After Rangers dropped more points this weekend, Celtic have the chance to put an early marker down ahead of the Glasgow Derby at the end of August.
If Celtic beat the Dons, a four-point gap opens up between them and Rangers. With a tricky trip to St Mirren up before the visit of the Bhoys, Martin can ill-afford to drop any more points.
Because with Celtic’s next fixture at home to Livingston, Rodgers could head to Ibrox with a potential minimum six-point lead over Rangers and that would put massive pressure on them for the 31st of August clash.
And every Celtic fan knows how Rangers react to pressurised games over the last two seasons.
