Celtic face Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup as Brendan Rodgers looks to keep his treble hopes on track.

Brendan Rodgers’ side will look to book their place in the quarter-final of the Scottish Cup after Celtic beat Kilmarnock in the last round to set up a home tie against Raith Rovers.

The Celtic manager will be confident any buoyed after he watched his Hoops side destroy Dundee midweek after goals from Daizen Maeda, Arne Engels, Adam Idah and Nicolas Kuhn put the lid on a superb 6-0 win.

However, against Raith, Celtic have the chance to equal a record set by former Hoops boss Ronny Deila if they beat the Championship side and keep a clean sheet at Celtic Park today.

Kasper Schmeichel had a great start to his Celtic career as he kept six clean sheets in a row in the Scottish Premiership.

However, in the Scottish Cup, the big Dane could help equal a winning and clean sheet record that has stood at Celtic since the days of Ronny Deila, as highlighted by Scotland’s Coefficient.

The X account posted on social media, “Celtic have won their last 8 home games by an aggregate score of 29-0.

“The last time they won more in a row without conceding at home was in March 2014 – when they had 9 consecutive wins to nil.”

Celtic fans will long remember that League Cup final defeat against Raith Rovers at Ibrox back in 1994.

Since then, the Hoops have faced Raith on seven other occasions with every one of them being in a cup competition.
