Celtic matches will be shown on the TNT Sports channel which launched in the UK on Tuesday.

The new channel has replaced the now defunct BT Sport after it merged with Warner Bros Discovery last year. (WBD Sports)

TNT Sports is now likely to be on your television, if you previously had access to BT Sport. Some changes are on the way, while other things will stay the same.

Celtic‘s European matches this season will be shown live on the channel. This will consist of our six Champions League group stage clashes plus any subsequent post-Christmas fixtures.

It’s not clear yet who will present coverage of our matches. Laura Woods and Reshmin Chowdhury have been confirmed as Champions League hosts by TNT Sports but they seem more likely to take matches featuring English teams.

From the following season, and the Champions League’s new format, things will change slightly.

According to Sports Pro Media, Amazon Prime will enter the game, showing one Champions League game per match day on a Tuesday night. The rest of the action will remain on TNT Sports while the BBC will have a Wednesday highlight show.

So Celtic will definitely be on TNT Sports over the coming seasons, and Amazon Prime is a possibility from 2024/25 as well.

On top of Sky Sports, Viaplay and Celtic TV, that’s a fair few subscription fees needing shelled out for.

In other news, Celtic are still to officially announce the signings of Hyun-jun Yang and Kwon Hyeok-kyu
