That was fun while it lasted.
Friday was all meant to be about Celtic’s AGM, clearing the air, the board getting their views across, and fans getting to voice their views about the goings-on in Glasgow.
But in typical Celtic style, and perhaps an illustration of the ill-feeling between the Hoops fans and the board, the AGM didn’t last very long.
At first, the AGM was adjourned minutes into it starting, and when it did restart, it didn’t last too long, as words from Ross Desmond, son of Dermot Desmond, led to Peter Lawell cancelling the meeting amid fans voicing their displeasure.

What Celtic showed to fans before the AGM started
It seems as though the powers that be at Celtic are trying to paint a picture, from their part, that suggests everything is rosy in the garden.
That’s why Celtic showed footage of the club’s League Cup semi-final win over Rangers to fans in attendance, as they were taking their seats and waiting for the board members to arrive.
Perhaps trying to butter people up? Get them in a good mood, but it clearly didn’t work.

Celtic’s on-field success is there for all to see. In the history of Scottish football, nobody has dominated as much as the Hoops have in the last two decades.
But you can’t take the fans for granted, which is clearly happening here, as things will only get worse from this point onwards.
Luckily for the Celtic board, the next home match isn’t until December 3 against Dundee, and you can bet your bottom dollar that the supporters will make their feelings clear on that Wednesday evening, as they will in the various away matches before that.
