“Here, come here,” said O’Neill, as he pointed to Saracchi while standing in the middle of the dressing room.
“Special character,” added the Celtic boss, before hugging him, with the rest of the Celtic players laughing and clapping.

Not only did Saracchi perform well, seriously push Kieran Tierney and play a key role in Celtic’s title win, but he also wanted to return to Glasgow.
On top of that, O’Neill wanted him back, and you can see from the above video how much he meant to the Celtic boss.
Yet it’s a damning indictment on the people running the club that Saracchi won’t wear the club colours again.
This isn’t just about performances, but the togetherness O’Neill had built with these players during some dark, dark moments for the club.
Now, Celtic have to dig even deeper and find someone to challenge Tierney because that’s another unnecessary hole that needs to be filled in the squad.
