Brendan Rodgers sent a message to Dermot Desmond after Celtic won their fourth title in a row at Dundee United.
The Celtic manager created history at Tannadice and becomes the most decorated manager in the club’s history after winning his 11th domestic title.
On the 24th of May, Rodgers has the chance to become the first Celtic boss to won three trebles as the Carnlough-born man continues to make and break records at Parkhead.
However, after wrapping up the title after Celtic hammered Dundee United, Rodgers sent a message to Hoops owner Dermot Desmond inside Tannadice that fans may have missed.

Brendan Rodgers thanks Dermot Desmond for taking Celtic gamble
When Rodgers left Celtic in 2019, not one fan then would have thought he would have returned to the club as boss again.
But when Ange Postecoglou left Celtic for Spurs Desmond only had one man in mind to take over the reigns and Rodgers paid tribute to the majority shareholder for taking that chance.
Rodgers told BBC Radio Scotland, “Yeah, my career until now, to this point, has been great. We started on a journey as a young coach, and have had the privilege to manage some amazing clubs.
“However, Celtic is, like I said, there’s an emotional attachment with here because of supporting the club, family and friends and yeah, so it really feels really special to be here.
“And obviously I can I said I mentioned the other day, but again, I’ve got Dermot Desmond to thank for bringing me back, so much belief in me and so much trust in me and to bring me back when probably many others wouldn’t have and wouldn’t have taken me back inside and outside the club.
“I think this is a day for him to have a glass of champagne or wine, whatever he has, with great pride, and hopefully he felt proud watching that game.”
Brendan Rodgers sends message to Celtic’s naysayers
Celtic stand on the brink of winning their sixth treble in nine years, the ninth in the club’s history and Rodgers has hailed
The Hoops boss continued, “Yeah, it’s just the culture of the club over this last period of time, great cultures, great managers working in here, but we’ve had the culture of winning and what it takes to win.
“It’s a remarkable statistic. It feels like it’s been normalised when it really isn’t. It’s such a hard thing to do. But for these players, from the first day of preseason by the way through until the end of the season, we’re going to push and fight to win as many trophies as we can.”
All week Celtic fans have had to listen to people in the media try to downplay the club’s recent success as Rangers end yet another season trophyless.
The jealousy from some quarters of Scottish football is very obvious and Rodgers is 100% correct. Celtic make the success look easy but, in reality, it is anything but and the club should be praised not criticised for their continued domination of Scottish football.
