Tomas Cvancara has probably played his final game for Celtic.
On Friday night, Cvancara confirmed on Instagram that his season at Celtic has ‘come to an end’ after he tore his adductor and now requires surgery.
Cvancara joined Celtic on a loan deal from Borussia Monchengladbach in January, and now heads for the exit door, understanding what it means to wear the famous green and white colours.
There might be many Celtic supporters out there who feel the club shouldn’t sign the 25-year-old for next season, but one thing is for sure: he gets the club and his message after injury proves it.
‘Now I’ll support the boys from the outside,’ wrote the injured striker. ‘And I truly believe this team will finish the season the right way and bring home the DOUBLE!! 💚🍀’

Should Celtic bring Tomas Cvancara back next season?
The on-loan striker's season is now over after injury…

Tomas Cvancara’s parting message to Celtic supporters
Cvancara’s final game for Celtic was a 1-0 Premiership win over St Mirren in April, and he leaves having netted twice during his short spell for the Hoops.
Thankfully, Martin O’Neill has the in-form Daizen Maeda to pick from, as well as the option of super sub Kelechi Iheanacho.
Or else, this injury to Cvancara just sums up the mess of Celtic’s striker options this term, and how it simply can’t be repeated again next season.
There will be many who will feel that Celtic shouldn’t re-sign Cvancara for next season, as his next stop will be to head back to Gladbach.
But the Czech star telling the world how he is ‘truly grateful’ to represent the champions of Scotland proves that Celtic signed the right character, but not the man with the correct quality fit.
‘Honestly, this is not how I imagined my season at Celtic coming to an end, and not the way I wanted it to finish,’ wrote Cvancara.
‘But despite everything, I’m truly grateful that I had the chance to be part of this club, this team and these moments.
‘I know there weren’t as many individual moments as I wanted, but whenever I stepped on the pitch, I always tried to help the team and give everything for the badge.
‘And to all the fans.. THANK YOU. For every message, every bit of support and the energy you gave me. It truly meant a lot.
‘Now I’ll support the boys from the outside, and I truly believe this team will finish the season the right way and bring home the DOUBLE!! 💚🍀’
