Celtic’s striker crisis mounts up after Callum Osmand’s injury in the Europa League defeat to FC Midtjylland.
The young Welshman was taken off towards the end of the game as Osmand suffered a hamstring injury in the hard-to-watch Celtic defeat to Midtjylland.
Osmand faces a few weeks on the sidelines as Martin O’Neill figures out what to do to deal with the mounting injury crisis at Celtic right now.
But it seems that whilst Celtic toil in the Europa League, there are two former Parkhead strikers who are loving life in UEFA’s second-tier competition.

Giorgos Giakoumakis shows what Celtic are missing in the Europa League
Giorgos Giakoumakis left Celtic in March 2023 and since then, the former Hoops striker has been no stranger to a goal or two.
Now at PAOK with Greg Taylor, the big Greek striker was on target once again as he helped inspire PAOK’s 4-0 thrashing of Young Boys last night.
Have a watch of this:
That was Giakoumakis’ third goal in six games in the Europa League as the 30-year-old continues his fine form back in his homeland.
Hyeongyu Oh shows his class in the Europa League as Celtic options dwindle
Hyeongyu Oh was on the brink of a sensational €24m move to VfB Stuttgart in the summer after the South Korean’s impressive goal record at Genk since his Celtic exit last summer.
And now, Oh was on target once again as he led Genk to an impressive 4-3 away win over Celtic’s previous opponents SC Braga over in Portugal.
The 24-year-old striker scored Genk’s third goal of the game as Oh smashed in his third goal of this season’s Europa League campaign for the Belgian side.
With Celtic’s options up top clearly dwindling, will the Parkhead club regret letting either of these two players leave so hastily?
