Brendan Rodgers has reacted to the UEFA touchline ban threat looming over his head.
The Celtic manager was sanctioned by UEFA this week and is now facing a potential ban following his side’s heartbreaking defeat to Bayern Munich back in February.
It was an evening where the Hoops were so close to creating history before a late goal for the hosts and it will always be remembered for good or bad by the Celtic fans and manager.
A delay to second-half kick-off was allegedly caused by Rodgers and UEFA opted to punish the Irishman and the club by slapping him with a suspended suspension which will be in play for one year.

Rodgers says he ‘won’t lose sleep’ over UEFA sanction
But Rodgers insists he won’t be worrying too much about it even if it was a bit more strict than he’s used to.
“Yeah, well to be fair, I’d only read about it. I think it’s one of these ones,” he said in his pre-Hearts match press conference.
“I wasn’t aware that we were doing anything different to what we normally do. But sometimes coming out at half-time, it’s a wee bit stricter than what you’d have normally at home. But yeah, we won’t be losing sleep over it.”
Not Celtic’s first UEFA punishment this season
The sanction from UEFA is not the first one for Celtic this season, as has been well documented.
But it was not even the only one from the Bayern Munich tie as was confirmed in the governing body’s disciplinary report published earlier this week.
During the first match which took place at Celtic Park, the club were issued with a fine of €9,000 for the blocking of public passageways according to Art. 38 UEFA Safety and Security Regulations.
And that comes after previous incidents including the threat of an away stadium ban for fans in relation to their usage of pyro away at Aston Villa and Borussia Dortmund.
The Scottish champions have also been hit with monetary punishments on numerous occasions this season.
