The Celtic fans are incredibly fond of Ange Postecoglou for the success and style of football the Australian brought to the club.
Securing seven trophies out of nine, which included the record-breaking eighth-domestic treble, Postecoglou left Celtic a hero after dragging the team out of the depths at the end of the disastrous COVID season.
Now at Tottenham Hotspur, the former Celtic manager will be hoping that this season he can bring some silverware to the trophy-starved club.
And that is exactly what former Barcelona youngster David Babunski told the media after he was asked to comment on the Australian and what he could bring to Spurs.
Postecoglou was ‘one of the best’ ever
Who is David Babunski I hear you all ask. Well, Babunski is Dundee United’s new summer signing. He was at Barcelona for ten years but didn’t make a first-team appearance for the Catalan giants.
He moved from Barcelona to Red Star Belgrade where after just one season, he eventually ended up at Yokohama F Marinos under, yep you guessed it, Ange Postecoglou when the Australian arrived at the J League club in 2018.
Babunski said of Ange, [The Courier], “A fantastic coach, probably one of the best I have had.
“I was in a dressing room with Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique back in the day, but when Ange arrived at Yokohama Marinos, I was really impressed.
“I did an interview from Spain where they called to ask me about him when he signed for Tottenham and I told them if they let him work, he might achieve some success – he is obsessed with that.
“He did a good job when he was in Scotland.”

Postecoglou brought his Spurs side to Scotland last night to face Hearts in pre-season friendly at Tynecastle.
After running out 5-1 winners, the Tottenham boss waxed lyrical about Celtic as he fondly recalled his time at the Scottish giants.
Now into his second season at Spurs, the Australian will be desperate to deliver silverware for the Premier League club to write another chapter into his already incredible coaching career.
