The Jamie Vardy to Celtic rumour is really taking off this week.
As Celtic struggle to get players in to strengthen the team, Brendan Rodgers must now negotiate the Champions League play-off against Kairat Almaty with the players currently at his disposal.
Whilst the current Celtic first-team should be good enough to win the tie over two legs, Rodgers would have loved to have strengthened his side to ensure this play-off doesn’t have the potential to become a banana skin.
One name that has been doing the rounds is Jamie Vardy and a potential Celtic move.
And as the rumours hot up, Sky Sports have just shared what they understand is going on between the former Leicester City man and Celtic.

Sky Sports man delivers update on Jamie Vardy to Celtic rumours
Vardy to Celtic does seem to have split opinion between the Hoops support but it seems that there is still a bit to go until a deal, if any, is to be struck.
Sky Sports’ Good Morning Transfers show has delivered what they have heard about the possibility of Vardy moving to Celtic.
Sky Sports said, “We do understand that, even though there is that stunning story linking Vardy with a return to Brendan Rodgers and to go to Celtic, there haven’t been actually any discussions yet, or any contact between Celtic and Vardy.”
Whether or not a move will happen, there was one Sky Sports presenter who appeared gutted that Vardy could move to Celtic.

Michael Bridge was co-presenting the show and when asked about the Vardy to Celtic rumours, he admitted he wanted the former Leicester man to join Rangers.
Bridge said, “Well, I wanted to see him at Rangers at the start of the summer. I think to be fair to Russell Martin, he has said all along he only wants players who don’t want to consider that they want to join Rangers.
“That is that is it. Like Mikey Moore, he had a lot of options to leave Tottenham on loan. All I will say is, whatever side of Glasgow Jamie Vardy would end up joining, wow. I cannot wait to watch it.
“Because, you know, he loves the wind people up. Like every time he’s got an away game, Palace away, does the Eagle and all that. It’ll be great fun.
“And of course, I’m sure he’s kept himself fully fit over the last few years. I’m absolutely surprised he’s not made the move yet.
“But of course, he will have a great relationship with Brendan Rodgers as well. So that’d be a really intriguing move.”
With just under two weeks of the transfer window to go, Celtic fans will be waiting to see what the club can come up with.
Is Vardy the answer? Not in the eyes of many of the Parkhead support.
