Celtic’s eight Europa League league phase fixtures were confirmed on Friday.

The Hoops lost to Kairat Almaty on penalties in the Champions League play-off, which meant dropping down into UEFA’s second tier competition.

Brendan Rodgers and his players will face difficult ties against AS Roma and Feyenoord, while a trip to Lewis Ferguson’s Bologna has been scheduled.

We know when the matchdays are, but when exactly will UEFA confirm exact dates and kick-off times for the eight fixtures?

UEFA will confirm Celtic dates & kick-off times by Sunday

Well, as per the official UEFA website, the European governing body confirmed before the draw took place that Celtic’s fixture dates and times will be confirmed by Sunday, August 31 at the latest.

Essentially, it means they could drop anytime between now and Sunday.

UEFA stated: “In accordance with Paragraph 23.01 (b) of the competition regulations, the UEFA administration decides which matches are played on Wednesday (Matchday 1 only) and which on Thursday, as well as the kick-off times for Matchdays 1–7.

“Furthermore, as per Paragraph 17.02 of the above-mentioned regulations, a club, in principle, does not play more than two home or two away matches in a row, and each club plays one home match and one away match in the first two matchdays and the last two matchdays.

“If need be, however, the UEFA administration may derogate from these rules. The calendar of all matches of the league phase will be available at the latest on Sunday 31 August.”
