Celtic’s latest signing Benjamin Nygren is through the door and ready to make an impact at Parkhead.

Nygren was confirmed as Celtic’s third signing of the summer transfer window in a bargain deal worth £1.28m.

How old is Benjamin Nygren?

Erik Benjamin Nygren was born in Gothenburg, Sweden on 8 July, 2001.

He began his professional career at IFK Goteborg in 2018 before joining Genk in Belgium one year later. A loan spell with Heerenveen between 2020-2022 followed but it was with FC Nordsjaelland where he made his name.

His goal scoring exploits in Denmark caught the attention of several clubs around Europe but in the end, he made the move to Paradise.

“I’m a player who wants to create a lot of chances and go towards goal. I’m a link between the defence and the offence and I can run a lot. I’m an offensive-minded player but I also work hard and try to do my best in all parts of the game.
