Kyogo Furuhashi has been one of Celtic’s best players in the Champions League of late.
With three goals and an assist in UEFA’s premier competition, Kyogo has scored important Celtic goals against the likes of Atletico Madrid, Lazio and Slovan Bratislava.
With Celtic preparing for the visit of Young Boys in the next crucial Champions League fixture at Celtic Park, the European association sent Kyogo a class message just days before the Swiss champions come to Glasgow.

UEFA wish Kyogo Furuhashi a Happy Birthday with iconic Champions League goal
For Celtic fans who didn’t know, Kyogo turned 30 this week as the Hoops hero celebrated reaching a birthday milestone.
And to celebrate that, UEFA’s arm in Japan sent the Celtic striker a message on social media alongside one of his iconic Champions League strikes.
UEFA simply put, “Happy 30th Birthday Kyogo Furuhashi”.
Indeed, the goal the Hoops striker scored was in Celtic’s 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid where Brendan Rodgers’ side was unlucky not to beat the La Liga club.
Kyogo Furuhashi’s Celtic Champions League goals
Kyogo’s other two goals in the Champions League came in Celtic’s 5-1 thrashing of Slovan Bratislava this season and, of course, in last season’s defeat against Lazio at Celtic Park.

Celtic fans will be hoping for more of the same from the talisman because a win against Young Boys at Parkhead could be enough to guarantee a Champions League play-off spot with one game to spare.
