Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney has long been linked with a return to Celtic.
Ever since Tierney was told by Arsenal that they wouldn’t be extending his contract at the club, the speculation surrounding a return to Celtic Park has been ramping up over the last few weeks.
However, the role that Alex Valle could play in Tierney’s Celtic return has been doing the rounds and it forced Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers to comment on the young Spanish fullback’s importance to the team.
But now, it seems that the return of Tierney to Celtic ‘will’ happen as journalist, Roger Hannah, delivers a timeline of when the Arsenal defender will ‘be in the building’ as a Hoops player.

Kieran Tierney ‘will’ be a Celtic player in ‘two weeks’
Hannah told Superscoreboard [1h 26m], “Yes, it would have to be [Bernabei’s sale up there with Matt O’Riley’s]. He was hailed in this country by Gordon Dalziel and no one else and Celtic have got between four and five million pounds for him.
“It is a fantastic piece of business. And Kieran Tierney will be in the building in the next, the transfer window goes into the third of February, two weeks tonight?”
Duncan: “You’re certain of it?”
Hannah: “Yeah, I think he’ll be a Celtic player.”
What has been said about Kieran Tierney’s potential Celtic return
There has been plenty made in the media about Tierney’s return to Paradise. Former Hoops hero, Frank McAvennie says Celtic are set to sign a ‘world-class’ defender with even former Rangers player, Kevin Thomson labelling the Arsenal man as a ‘top of the tree’ player.
Arsenal fans would be gutted to lose Tierney to Celtic after his latest appearances for the club with ex-Hoops striker John Hartson claiming Tierney coming to Parkhead would be a ‘massive deal’.
As for Celtic, there is, as always, nothing from the club however it is widely thought that the prospect of Tierney leaving Arsenal to come back to Glasgow has the Hoops boss, Brendan Rodgers, feeling ‘excited’.
