Celtic’s big Europa League tie against Roma has a lot riding on it this week.
Win it, and Wilfried Nancy heads into the Premier Sports Cup final with his squad high on confidence ahead of the St Mirren showdown.
Also, beating Roma would put Celtic on ten points and within a great shout of getting out of the Europa League group phase for the first time in the club’s history.
What changes to you expect Wilfried Nancy to make against Roma?
But to do that, Celtic need to score goals and it seems that Nancy has delivered a huge boost to his squad as the Hoops gaffer updates fans on the fitness of Kelechi Iheanacho.

Kelechi Iheanacho ‘trained well’ for Celtic ahead of huge Roma game
Iheanacho has been injured at Celtic since the win over Sturm Graz in November, but now, it seems that the Nigerian striker is on his way back for the Roma game.
Nancy told the Daily Record, “He has trained well. After that, he needs minutes. It has been a long time, two months since he really played.
“The way we work the players who have not played regularly we try to get them through physical work to get back into the rhythm.
“For the moment obviously he is not fit to play a lot of minutes but a few minutes, yes.
“I have to understand that also in the past they did not rotate much. So I have done my work on that. I believe we have the players to do that but it has to be step by step.”
Kelechi Iheanacho’s Celtic stats this season so far
The signing of Iheanacho was derided by many people outside of Celtic but he made an instant impact not long after his summer transfer move.
Predict one Celtic player to impress against Roma
Scoring his first Celtic goal against Kilmarnock, Iheanacho also backed that strike up with goals against Red Star Belgrade and Motherwell before his injury.
In fact, the Celtic striker was cruelly denied a goal against SC Braga when Iheanacho’s perfectly good finish was ruled out for a handball.
If the Nigerian gets minutes against Roma, Iheanacho will then give Nancy options ahead of the Hampden final that he hasn’t had in his short spell at the club.
