Yet another Lennoxtown appointment on the way as Celtic post new job listing
Ange Postecoglou and Celtic are wasting no time in shaping the future of the Lennoxtown staff this summer, with yet another job listing appearing online.
Last week we shared the news that the club were advertising for a First Team Analyst position.
Now a new role has been listed on Jobs In Football, with the club looking for a sports scientist focused on reconditioning.
Reporting directly to head of sports science Anton McElhone, the successful candidate will “work closely with the Medical Department, delivering the end-stage rehabilitation/reconditioning with an emphasis on Football Conditioning both on and off the field”, the club say.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– the monitoring of internal and external training loads through collection, analysis and dissemination of information to aid in the planning and periodisation of training
– working in alignment with the medical team to create efficient and effective return to play strategies
– working in collaboration with the coaching department to create bespoke individual plans that are position specific and tailored to the playing philosophy
Experience of working in a football environment previously is listed as essential, alongside degree-level and professional qualifications, while a UEFA B coaching license is considered desirable.
Postecoglou is also planning on a more high-profile appointment to his staff. It was reported last night that Socceroos legend Harry Kewell was in line to join the club as a first-team coach.
The Bhoys boss is paving the way for a massive second season at the club, having finally gotten the time to shape his staff in the way he sees fit, as he described to me back in April.
Exciting times are ahead everyone!
