Celtic are plotting moves for two strikers to help bolster Brendan Rodgers’ squad this summer.
The Hoops have made five signings this transfer window, the most recent of those arrivals being Hayato Inamura.
But, with Kyogo Furuhashi not replaced in January, a striker was one of the priority positions for the Celtic manager this summer and although two seem to be on the radar, they aren’t exciting the fanbase.

Brendan Rodgers close to securing Shin Yamada as new striker
Reports on Monday suggested that Celtic were monitoring Napoli’s Giuseppe Ambrosino as part of a loan deal with an option to buy.
Ambrosino is said to be keen on joining Celtic and the Italy U21 striker could be joined by Shin Yamada.
The Kawasaki Frontale man has been linked for some time and the Daily Record revealed on Monday night that Yamada was closing in on a £1.5m transfer to Celtic Park.
Yamada wants the move to Celtic, but the 25-year-old is a cause of concern for supporters.
Celtic fans unsure on Shin Yamada
One of the biggest concerns for Celtic fans regarding Yamada is his goalscoring record.
Having only scored four goals in 21 games in all competitions this season, it’s not exactly suggesting prolific and it’s left fans underwhelmed.

@KierenKerr added: “We’re just hoping Rangers will be worse than us next year. Zero plan to make any sort of meaningful progress past just being better than them. And that’s the sort of thinking that ended with us blowing 10. Depressing.”
@bhoysviews commented: “Shin Yamada. 2 goals in 20 J-league games. On a run of 15 games without a goal. Not an international. Valued at £1m. When are you all going to start telling me he is not the no1 striker we need and a CL upgrade?”
