It’s been nearly a week since the transfer window closed and the same frustrations are still being heard loud and clear.
Celtic fans were left fuming at the club’s statement after the Celtic board posted an update to supporters following the disappointment of the transfer window.
Brendan Rodgers missed out on a number of high-profile targets and was left scrambling around to fill positions, eventually settling for signing Kelechi Iheanacho as a striker.
No new signings will come in until January at the earliest now, but Celtic must make it their mission to sign two targets they couldn’t get this summer.

Celtic must sign Jakob Breum and Louis Munteanu
Wingers and strikers are imperative for Rodgers and the Celtic manager can’t afford to be sold down the river.
After Daizen Maeda admitted he was denied a move away this summer, Celtic need to brace themselves for losing him in January and should be going all out for Jakob Breum and Louis Munteanu.
Both players were tracked by the Hoops all summer, however, Breum was never close to a move and the Munteanu interest never really accelerated.
Not only do these two score and create goals for fun, they have a natural flair about them and at 21 and 23, both have long careers ahead of them.

Celtic must prepare for a new era
It’s been a lot of fun watching Celtic over the last few years but a reset is evidently needed.
The likes of Maeda and even some of the more senior pros like Callum McGregor aren’t going to be around forever and the club need to take a leap of faith into the future.
By signing players like Breum and Munteanu, that baton can be passed on and allow the Bhoys to continue dominating Scottish football, as well as challenge the elites in European competitions.
