As Martin O’Neill prepares Celtic to face Falkirk, there are three changes that the Hoops boss must consider for the Scottish Premiership clash.

Celtic are now nine points behind Hearts in the Scottish Premiership table as the Bhoys look to play catch-up once again this week.

Do you agree with Paddy’s Celtic predicted starting XI to face Falkirk?

What changes would you make?

The best Celtic team Martin O'Neill could pick to face Falkirk in the Scottish Premiership.

With the midweek Europa League exertions, Martin O’Neill needs to look at rotating the squad ahead of Celtic’s fixture against Falkirk.

And here are three changes the Celtic manager must look at so that O’Neill can field the strongest and fittest side he can to ensure all three Premiership points remain at Parkhead.

Colby Donovan needs rested for Celtic vs Falkirk

Young Colby Donovan has been very impressive for Celtic this season and has made 22 first-team appearances.

Remarkably, Donovan has clocked up more minutes in Celtic’s Europa League campaign than he has in the Scottish Premiership.

But at just 19, Donovan’s minutes must be managed and he should drop out for the visit of Falkirk to Celtic Park this afternoon.

Whilst Donovan is showing a maturity beyond his years and his performances have been great, Julian Araujo should be brought back into Celtic’s starting XI for the crucial league clash this afternoon.

Sebastian Tounekti needs to be dropped to the Celtic bench

Sebastian Tounekti has been one of the most frustrating players to watch at Celtic since his big summer transfer move.

Where do you stand on Sebastian Tounekti? Would you sell him in January?

The Tunisian is clearly talented and is not afraid to take on defenders, but his final ball is inconsistent as Tounekti’s indifferent start at Celtic divides opinion.

Daizen Maeda should be moved out to the left wing and O’Neill should draft Tomas Cvancara back into the Celtic line-up.

That will put Maeda into his preferred position, where he is most dangerous, and give Celtic aggression and power with Cvancara leading the forward line.
