Celtic fans are desperate to see new players coming in to bolster the squad for the title run-in and it appears that they may not have to wait too long.

So far in the winter transfer window, Celtic have signed just two players in Tomas Cvancara and Julian Araujo.

The Celtic squad need more quality and freshness, especially now that the Bhoys are Scotland’s only European representatives after qualifying from the Europa League group stage.

Where do Celtic still need to strengthen after signing Tomas Cvancara and Julian Araujo?

Mark Guidi reveals Monday will be a hectic transfer day for Celtic

With less than 48 hours to go until the transfer window slams shut, Celtic boss Martin O’Neill is working hard behind the scenes to strengthen his team.

And it seems that Celtic fans will only need to wait until tomorrow morning for signs of transfer life at the club.

Guidi told The Go Radio Football Show, “So, I have a feeling, looking at it just now, at Rangers and at Celtic, I think we’re going to see a lot of action on Monday.

“Monday at 11 o’clock, I think there’s going to be, [maybe] before then, there will be a lot of action of comings and goings at both clubs.

What Martin O’Neill’s role is in Celtic’s transfers

The lack of transfer action at Celtic frustrates fans and it leaves the vast majority wondering who exactly is in control at the club.

But what Shaun Maloney revealed about Martin O’Neill’s role in Celtic’s transfers gives a great insight into how the Hoops boss is key this winter window.

Maloney said, “It’s just working extremely hard with the recruitment department. The recruitment analysis. The board.

“I think Martin underplays his own efforts in it because I don’t think there is anyone else in this building who watches more players than Martin.

“You have all the staff doing the same. We are kind of chipping in at this stage. Just working extremely hard on it.

“I wouldn’t say that’s just me. I would say that’s quite a few people. It’s Martin that has the final say. Once it gets to the stage of the list of players. I wouldn’t say I am taking the players to that list. That’s definitely the recruitment team.”
