A couple of days ago it looked like it would be a dead cert that Celtic would be signing Jocelin Ta Bi.
But football is a funny game and things change quickly.
Ta Bi seemed excited about joining the Hoops after a £2m fee was agreed with Hapoel Petah Tikva.
However, a problem during the 20-year-old’s medical has left Celtic stalling on the move before the full results are discovered.
Now, in another new twist, it seems like there is an added complication.

Premier League club join race for Jocelin Ta Bi
The 20-year-old has caught the eye of several clubs around Europe, including Trabzonspor.
None of those compare to the bright lights of the Premier League though, and according to Foot Mercato a Premier League club, believed to be Sunderland, have come in to hijack the transfer.

Journalist Sebastien Denis wrote: “Huge twist for Jocelin Ta Bi. Just when everything was settled with Celtic FC, the Ivorian starlet isn’t expected to commit to the club.
“The winger from Hapoel Petah Tikva is set to commit in England as a Premier League club is about to swoop in and snag the deal.”
Do Celtic have other options?
A right winger may not be the top priority for the Bhoys, but it seems like they are determined to bolster their attacking options.
Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Laquintana is still of interest to the Bhoys and Red Bull Bragantino could be approached with a loan to buy offer.
Who was Martin O’Neill’s best signing at Celtic?
Hyunjun Yang has turned into an unlikely saviour in recent weeks, however, which means that the need for a right winger is not what needs to be top of the list.
