Adam Idah has been included in the Norwich City match squad for today’s English Championship opener away to Oxford United.
Last week, Norwich boss Johannes Hoff Thorup indicated that Idah would be part of his plans for the fixture despite the player making it clear he’d prefer a move to Celtic.
However, after reports in recent days that the Bhoys were in ‘advanced talks’ for his signature from the Canaries, fans were on the lookout for Idah’s potential absence.
Idah has been named on the bench against Oxford and could get minutes as a second-half substitute.
It does feel like this is all moving in one direction, regardless, and it’d be no surprise to see the Republic of Ireland international make his move sooner rather than later.
Adam Idah still closing in on a permanent Celtic move
Norwich City are said to want north of £6m for his signature, with Celtic previously offering a total package worth £5.5m inclusive of add-ons.
If the the two clubs are again negotiating you’d expect the Bhoys to be able to increase that to the asking price that Norwich have set.

It’s been a long old saga since he banged in that winner against Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final but the signs are good that Idah is finally set to move back to Glasgow.
After nine goals on loan last term, everyone is looking forward to seeing what he can do with a full season working under Brendan Rodgers.
We’ll have the latest from Thorup on Idah’s status – if he provides an update today – as soon as we get it.
