Celtic have been in the thick of the action during the 2025 summer transfer window.
From Ross Doohan to Hayato Inamura, four new players have either joined or re-joined the champions of Scotland.
Of course, Celtic are expected to add a few more players and further beef up Brendan Rodgers’ squad ahead of another title defence.
But you just know that no signing will be able to top the return of Kieran Tierney because there probably isn’t a more popular player in Glasgow right now.

Luke McCowan on Kieran Tierney’s return to Celtic
One thing Tierney does with his return to Celtic is that he increases the number of boyhood fans in the main team.
Last summer, Celtic signed Luke McCowan from Dundee, and he added to that list, as he is certainly delighted by Tierney donning the green and white colours again.
McCowan told Celtic TV it’s ‘amazing’ to have Tierney signing, and how the all-action left-back is a ‘big character’.
“Kieran coming back, which is amazing for the club and the players in there,” said McCowan. “A big character and stuff.
“I am sure having that group of people who have come through the club. Know the club inside out. Obviously, I have just known it as a supporter, never mind these guys, who are a supporter and a player. It’s a massive benefiting factor to it and it can only prepare us in a good way.”
When will Celtic see Tierney in action?
Celtic beat Cork City for their second pre-season friendly of the summer on Tuesday evening, with Tierney not featuring, and summer signing Inamura impressing at left-back.
Brendan Rodgers didn’t risk the likes of Tierney for the trip to Ireland because he, alongside the likes of Daizen Maeda, only returned to Lennoxtown over the weekend.
But Celtic fans don’t have to wait much longer because Tierney is expected to feature in the trip to Portugal.
