Celtic interested in Étienne Youte Kinkoue
According to L’Equipe, Celtic have added Étienne Youte Kinkoue to their transfer wishlist this summer.
But their report adds that the Hoops have competition, with Besiktas also keen on the 23-year-old Le Havre central defender.
Le Havre are said to be currently valuing Kinkoue at £4.3m, which is well within Celtic’s price range.
Napoli receive €3m bid for Celtic target Giuseppe Ambrosino
Celtic have been linked with signing Napoli’s young striker Giuseppe Ambrosino and have enquired about recruiting him on loan with the option to buy.
But Cremonese have now lodged a transfer bid for Ambrosino, with Cagliari also said to be interested in a loan deal.
Ambrosino is an Italy U21 international and spent last season on loan at Frosinone.
Celtic ’embarrassed’ by Mathias Kvistgaarden Norwich City move
Mathias Kvistgaarden has signed a four-year contract with EFL Championship side Norwich City from Brondby.
The fee has been reported as £6.9m, the sum needed to trigger Kvistgaarden’s release clause that Celtic had absolutely no idea about.
Norwich were able to discover the clause in Kvistgaarden’s contract and meant Brondby missed out on the £12m they hoped to accrue from his sale this summer.
Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph says it is an embarrassment for Celtic and other clubs who tried to negotiate with Brondby for Kvistgaarden’s services.
Isak Jansson left out of Rapid Wien training
Kourier have reported that Rapid Wien winger Isak Jansson was pulled out of training amid interest from Celtic.
The Hoops are said to have lodged a bid in the region of €2-3m for the Swede, but Rapid Wien want way more to help break their transfer sale record.
Jansson scored nine goals in 33 appearances for Rapid Wien last season.
