After reports claimed that Celtic could be considering the option to bring Kyogo Furuhashi back to the club, 67 Hail Hail’s audience had their say on our TalkingPoints platform.
Kyogo has struggled at Birmingham City since his big-money move from Rennes in the summer, scoring once all season.
The forward was loved in his time at Celtic and some would argue that he was the club’s best striker since Henrik Larsson.
Bringing him back would be a bold decision to say the least, and the idea of him returning has sparked debate on our TalkingPoints initiative.
Should Celtic re-sign Kyogo in January?
67 Hail Hail fans don’t want Kyogo Furuhashi to return
For every successful return, like Martin O’Neill’s second spell, there is a disastrous return.
If the 30-year-old was to return, he would be in danger of undoing all of the good work he did in his first stint.
Only one of our 67 Hail Hail audience want to see him back in a Hoops shirt, with many thinking his prime days are over.
One fan said: “Yes but only as a backup.”
A second added: “No. His last six months at the club showed he had started to deteriorate and for anyone that says “yeah that’s only coz he wanted away” then have a look at his record since. He was a great player for us but he’s had his time and we should move on.”
Another commented: “No, he would never be the same, he should have had a shoulder op but kept putting it off.”
Finally, this fan was very clear, stating: “100 per cent no.”
