Celtic could soon resume contact with Fares Ghedjemis, according to a report.
In what is now developing into a saga, Ghedjemis was widely reported as a Celtic target in January, but opted to stay put at Frosinone.
Since then, the winger has gone from strength to strength, generating interest from clubs in Serie A and beyond.
It appears that this hasn’t dissuaded Celtic from rekindling their interest though, with the story now set to continue.

Celtic’s Fares Ghedjemis interest ‘hasn’t faded’
According to Frosinone journalist Roberto De Luva, Celtic’s interest in Ghedjemis “hasn’t faded in the slightest”.
On the contrary, he says, contacts could be resumed between the clubs soon.

Ghedjemis is currently preparing for the World Cup with Algeria, to whom he switched allegiances from France earlier this season.
He finished the season as third top-scorer in Serie B with 15 goals, despite playing all his football from the right wing.
His goals helped Frosinone go on a 15-match unbeaten run to secure promotion to Serie A, just two years after relegation from the top flight.
Regardless of their league status, the club view him as a sellable asset and are reportedly willing to listen to offers.
Celtic’s offer for the player in January was reported as “very serious” as Martin O’Neill desperately searched for reinforcements on the right wing.
O’Neill said that reports linking the Hoops with the 23-year-old as well as Damir Redzic “weren’t a million miles away”.
In the end, no deal was reached and the player remained in Italy, with the Hoops going on to sign Joel Mvuka.

Fares Ghedjemis’ agent on Celtic decision
Fabrizio Ferrari, the excellently-named agent of Ghedjemis, told Tuttomercato: “The renewal [with Frosinone]? It was an option already present in the contract signed with Frosinone that it was their right to exercise.
“The market rumours about him in January? He really wanted to finish the season with a promotion.
“This was the boy’s intention, with Frosinone then potentially monetising the operation in the summer.”
Ghedjemis scored on his debut for Algeria against Guatemala in March, and will face Argentina, Jordan and Austria in North America in Group J this summer.
