Kieran Tierney is on Celtic fans’ minds as they eagerly wait to see if he will return.
As of this moment, Tierney is still donning Arsenal colours after making only his second appearance of the season for the London club on Sunday as Mikel Arteta’s side crashed out of the FA Cup to Manchester United.
Over the years, Celtic’s recruitment has faired pretty well, both from an incoming and outgoing perspective.
But that doesn’t mean that the supporters haven’t expressed their disaffection, at times, including last season when Brendan Rodgers returned to the club.
There were chants of ‘sack the board’ during Celtic’s home defeat to Hearts, with Peter Lawwell’s son, Mark, then stepping down in the summer as the club’s head of first-team scouting and recruitment.
But perhaps the transfer business that has been concluded by the champions should be applauded, especially if one deal gets done.
Celtic told it would be ‘incredible’ if they sold Alexandro Bernabei for ‘£5 million’
Alexandro Bernabei struggled during his time at Celtic, but life is fairing a lot better now that he has returned to South America.
The 24-year-old is out on-loan at Brazil top-tier side, Internacional, and things are going pretty well to the point he could secure a permanent transfer to the club.
When Tam McManus heard that Celtic could get up to ‘£5 million’ for the 2022 Ange Postecoglou signing, he was left in shock and stated that it would be ‘incredible’, as he told PLZ Soccer.
McManus also made reference to Peter Lawwell and how the club should be applauded for how they sell players who struggle at Parkhead.

“They are talking about getting £4-5 million for Bernabei,” said McManus. “I think it’s incredible. That just shows you how good Celtic are at even the guys that come in and don’t do that well. They will get their money back at least.
“You can slag Peter Lawwell and being tight. Celtic supporters say, ‘you want to open the purse strings’. Listen, they run the club properly. £3m for Mikey Johnston. Rangers struggle to get that for guys that are doing well for the team, so you have to give Celtic credit.
“If they get £3-5 million for Bernabei, then there is Tierney’s money.”
How is Bernabei fairing on-loan at Internacional?
It’s fair to say that Bernabei has finally found his feet and it’s great to see for a player who tried and tried to make it work in Celtic colours.
Amid this Tierney talk and Rodgers wanting Greg Taylor to sign a new contract, you expect the Argentine star to depart sooner rather than later.
A Brazil insider told 67 Hail Hail that Internacional would like to sign Bernabei, as WhoScored have rated his performances this season at an impressive 7.34.
