Fenerbahce set for Daizen Maeda ‘meeting’
Fenerbahce are reportedly set to meet with Celtic officials and Daizen Maeda’s agent and lodge a bid of over €10m for the forward.
That’s according to Fotomac, who says Jose Mourinho’s team are interested in signing the player for next season and beyond.
The publication stated: “The yellow-navy staff, who are planning to make a landing on the island next week for the 27-year-old left winger, will sit down with Celtic officials and present their offers.
“The player’s manager will also be present at the meeting. The management will present an offer of over 10 million euros for the 27-year-old Japanese footballer.”
Jeremie Frimpong seals Liverpool move
Jeremie Frimpong has completed his £29.5m transfer from Bayer Leverkusen to Premier League champions Liverpool.
The right-back becomes Arne Slot’s first summer signing and has put pen to paper on a long-term contract at Anfield.
It’s great news for Celtic because the Hoops will now receive a sell-on fee thanks to a clause that was inserted into his Bayer Leverkusen contract.
When the Bhoys sold Frimpong to Leverkusen for £11.5m, they guaranteed themselves 30 percent of any future profit made on the Dutchman. As such, Celtic will rake in £5.4m – happy days!

Mathias Kvistgaarden wanted by West Ham United
West Ham United have joined Celtic and Eintracht Frankfurt in the race to sign Brondby striker Mathias Kvistgaarden.
The Premier League side reportedly want to bolster their attacking options after a disappointing season in the English top-flight.
They have been monitoring Kvistgaarden for some time and could now price Celtic out of any potential transfer altogether.
The Hoops enquired about signing Kvistgaarden in January but Brondby were not keen on selling halfway through the campaign.
Youssef El Kachati will leave Telstar this summer
Celtic striker target Youssef El Kachati has told the Dutch media that he will ‘100 percent’ leave Telstar in the summer transfer window.
El Kachati has scored 24 goals in 44 games for the Dutch second tier side this season.
He has said: “I think it is 100 percent certain that I will make a fantastic step this summer. But first I want to leave something behind at Telstar that will make them never forget me.
“I think it is very important that I end my time here well. If I can shoot Telstar to the Eredivisie, then I will do that.”
Stephen Welsh to Robbie Keane’s Ferencvaros?
Hungarian champions Ferencvaros are interested in signing Stephen Welsh.
Welsh has just returned from a loan spell with KV Mechelen and made 17 appearances for the Belgian top-flight outfit.
But he is one of five players Celtic reportedly want to sell this summer and Ferencvaros – managed by Robbie Keane – could be his next destination, according to The Celtic Way.
