Celtic are in the market for arrivals this month as Brendan Rodgers bids to strengthen several areas before the deadline.
Paulo Bernardo, Kasper Schmeichel and Viljami Sinisalo are the only additions to arrive at Parkhead this summer, lending credence to the thought that some late deals could come to the fore once the market opens up.
Bringing in the preferable quality of signing at Celtic isn’t easy. It sometimes requires patience. Nevertheless, fans are getting agitated as they live in hope that squad depth will be bolstered.
Earlier in the window, the Bhoys’ interest in Royal Antwerp left winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha came to light. The 23-year-old registered ten goals and eight assists last campaign, so he is the kind of asset that would get supporters excited at Parkhead.

Now, journalist Sacha Tavolieri has offered an update on his hopes of a transfer this summer that may clear up his situation somewhat.
Michel-Ange Balikwisha latest following Celtic links
According to Tavolieri via his official X account, Balikwisha has sustained an injury concern that has turned out to be ‘worse than expected’, which could rule the prospect of a switch to Celtic this summer.
He stated: “Michel-Ange Balikwisha’s injury seems worse than expected. The possibility of a transfer this summer appears to be fading… Wait&See.”
67 Hail Hail told last week that the notion of Balikwisha pitching up at Celtic has become gradually more unlikely due to Antwerp’s asking price for the versatile attacker.
In light of Tavolieri’s latest update, this may more or less be the final nail in the coffin. The Hoops have also recently scouted Hammarby starlet Bazoumana Toure, though it is unlikely a move will be made this window.
The flanks are an area that needs to be strengthened this month; that much is clear. Despite this, Celtic may have to turn their attention in an alternative direction amid their hunt for reinforcements
