Former Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn has been put on sale by Como.

That’s after his £16.5 million move didn’t work out as planned… and that’s being kind to Kuhn.

He has started just six Serie A games, scoring once. Cesc Fabregas’ side are fourth in the league, but the former Hoops man is missing out on most of the fun.

It now looks like he’s set for another change of surroundings, with the club looking to cut their losses.

A very tough move for Nicolas Kuhn… where do you stand on bringing him back in the summer?

Tuttomercatoweb report that Kuhn is available for around €12 million in the summer transfer window after a disappointing move for Italy.

Fabregas has reportedly endorsed the decision by sporting director Carlalberto Ludi.

Kuhn was signed by Celtic in January 2024, and didn’t show a great deal of promise in his first six months in Glasgow.

In his first full season, however, the winger exploded. In a stunning campaign, he put up 21 goals and 15 assists, earning the big-money switch to Italy.

Highlights of that season included a brace against RB Leipzig – the club where he began his career – in the Champions League.

Could he consider a move back to Glasgow? Celtic have certainly made a habit out of replacing players with themselves in recent years.

It feels like an extremely similar situation to Jota, after the Portuguese winger struggled at Rennes in France after a disastrous move to Saudi Arabia.

Kieran Tierney also completed his return ahead of this season, whilst Celtic publicly pushed for the return of Kyogo Furuhashi in January.

Kuhn won’t be short of suitors, having been linked with Leipzig, Newcastle, Brentford and Fulham prior to joining Como.

Other players let go by Celtic in the summer and how they’re doing

Kuhn was the Hoops’ headline sale in the summer, but he wasn’t the only one.

Adam Idah joined Swansea for £7 million, making 18 Championship appearances before suffering a long-term injury, scoring three league goals in that time.

Greg Taylor joined PAOK on a free transfer; the Greek side are currently top of the league on goal difference in a thrilling three-way title race.

Gustaf Lagerbielke has gone from strength to strength since joining Braga for £2.2 million. He impressed on his return to Glasgow in October, also scoring the goal that sent the club to the Taca da Liga final.
