As the team news came out around Idah, reports started emerging from Italy on a summer-linked striker that won’t be wearing the famous green and white colours.

Celtic-linked Jamie Vardy to join Serie A side Cremonese

Jamie Vardy was one of the most high-profile free agents this summer, and his name was always going to be linked with Celtic, especially with Rodgers in charge. 

But the former Leicester City player has opted to head to Italy and join newly-promoted side Cremonese.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shared on social media that Vardy has signed a contract until 2026, and there is the option of another year for the 38-year-old.
