Not long left until the January transfer window slams shut on Celtic’s face.
If things remain the same, then the Celtic Park faithful won’t be happy, and that’s a pretty bad ingredient because the anger is already beyond boiling point.
Martin O’Neill is doing all he can to try to paper over the cracks on the field of play, but he needs help, and the time is ticking on the champions of Scotland.
But as Celtic fans worry, Gordon Dalziel tried to change the mood at Parkhead by sharing what inside information he has been told.

Gordon Dalziel’s inside info on Celtic’s January transfer business
The January transfer window slams shut on Monday evening, and Dalziel tried to calm the nerves of Celtic fans Paul Slane and Si Ferry.
The Open Goal pundit claimed that he has ‘inside stories’ on Celtic’s transfers and how there will certainly be new faces arriving.
When pushed for more answers, Dalziel claimed that ‘at least two’ new faces will be added to O’Neill’s squad before the deadline.
Si Ferry: “Is this two of the worst transfer windows in history for Celtic?”
James McFadden: “Three, last January.”
Paul Slane: “We were saying last week, ‘they will get players in.’ I am not confident that they will. You were saying last week, Daz, ‘they will get players in.'”
Gordon Dalziel: “They will get players in.”
Slane: “Do you think they will?”
Dalziel: “Mark my words.”
Ferry: “Why are you so confident?”
Dalziel: “I have got inside stories. I just know people in the game. I am telling you now. They will have players in.”
Slane: “So, why haven’t they got them in so far then?”
Dalziel: “Their transfer business is terrible. I think we all agree on that. I don’t think there is even one Celtic supporter who would disagree with that – I reckon they will get at least two in.”

What areas do Celtic need to strengthen before the deadline?
Celtic have signed a right-back and a striker this month, but some feel that more firepower is needed.
One thing is for certain: the Hoops need to balance out the forward line because there are far too many players fighting for that left-sided spot.
Here are the areas that must be enhanced before the deadline:
- Right winger
- Right-sided centre back
- Striker
- Central midfield
