It’s July 1 and that means that Greg Taylor is officially a free agent.
Taylor has been tipped to leave Celtic for months and now the time has finally come as the full-back leaves Parkhead at the end of his contract.
The arrival of Kieran Tierney signalled the end of the 27-year-old’s time in Glasgow with the Lennoxtown graduate returning to his boyhood club for the starting spot.
Plenty of sides have been interested in Taylor and now the Scotland full-back appears to be one step away from joining his new side.
Greg Taylor closing in on PAOK move
According to Nova Sports in Greece, Taylor is a ‘breath away’ from joining PAOK.
They stated that he had arrived in the city of Thessaloniki to finalise the move ahead of signing a three-year contract.
Copenhagen had been one of the sides touted as a possible destination for Taylor after Celtic but he has opted to make the move to the Greek Super League, where he will reunite with former Hoops loanee Jonjoe Kenny after he put pen to paper on a deal.
An announcement hasn’t been confirmed as of yet, but Taylor’s signing is expected to go through within the next 24 hours, as confirmed by Anthony Joseph of Sky Sports.

Although Celtic supporters were left divided about Taylor’s spell in Glasgow, one thing that can’t be argued about is his ability to win.
Across his five seasons at the club, the full-back won five league titles, three Scottish Cups and three Scottish League Cups.
PAOK will consider themselves as one of the main clubs in the title race outside of the big three from Athens (Olympiacos, AEK Athens and Panathinaikos) and are quietly assembling a squad that can build on their third-placed finish from last season.
