There has been a lot of movement in the incoming department for Celtic of late.
From highly-rated striker Callum Osmand joining Celtic to versatile forward Benjamin Nygren adding to Brendan Rodgers’ attack.
But a lot of the Celtic fans will be wondering which of their key players could leave during the 2025 summer transfer window.
It’s the norm for Celtic to let their top stars leave if a suitable amount of money is put on the table, as was proven with Matt O’Riley’s sale last summer.
But who could be the next ‘big name’ out of the door at Celtic Park?
Nicolas Kuhn to leave Celtic and join RB Leipzig?
Nicolas Kuhn was one of the best players in Scotland last season, and that’s despite his form dropping off in 2025.
Despite that, there has been strong interest in Kuhn this summer, from Italy to Germany, and Ross McCormack thinks he could be the ‘big name’ to leave.
McCormack told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, he could see Kuhn re-joining his former club, RB Leipzig, and he would be ‘surprised’ if all the top stars stayed on board.
“The one now is keeping their big names at the club,” said McCormack. “I must admit, I would be surprised if they all stayed. I think one might be sold, and it might be Kuhn.
“If rumours are to be believed, it could be Leipzig.”
Kieran Tierney needs help
One of the main talking points of Celtic’s summer transfer window has been the return of Kieran Tierney from Arsenal.
Added to that, Greg Taylor left and joined PAOK on Tuesday, after his contract at Celtic expired, and now Rodgers is in need of another left-back.
McCormack thinks that’s one of the pressing matters Rodgers needs to deal with because Tierney simply isn’t going to be playing ’80-90%’ of the games next season.
“But the one for Celtic now is getting a good quality left-back cover now for Kieran Tierney,” added McCormack.
“There is probably a good chance he isn’t going to play 80-90% of the games next season. I think they need a good deputy there.”
