Rak-Sakyi was first linked to Celtic almost five years ago when he was a young academy star at Crystal Palace, but he signed a deal and then went out on loan to Charlton.

Stoke City set to sign Celtic target Jesurun Rak-Sakyi

It appears that Celtic’s pursuit of Rak-Sakyi is all but over as Stoke City agree a deal to take the Crystal Palace winger on loan.

Sky Sports announced, “Swansea City have agreed a loan deal for the Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

“It is understood that the deal does not include any optional obligation to buy. The 22-year-old, attracting interest from Celtic, Monaco, Lille and Millwall in this window as well.

“Swansea City were close to completing a deal for the player earlier in the month, but were unable to get personal terms across the line.

“So Rak-Sakyi, on the verge of signing for Celtic on loan last summer but that deal fell through, Stoke City have agreed a deal for the Palace winger, Rak-Sakyi.”

Who is Jesurun Rak-Sakyi?

A talented winger, Rak-Sakyi has made just 10 first-team appearances for Crystal Palace despite being at the club since his academy days.

Loan spells at Charlton Athletic, Sheffield United and Turkish outfit Çaykur Rizespor have all given the young Palace winger some much-needed first-team football.

Capped at England U20 and U21 level, the 23-year-old attacker is yet to make his senior national debut.

Now heading to join up with Adam Idah at Swansea City, is this a winger Celtic will regret missing out on?
