‘Let’s go’ – Celtic duo Luis Palma and Paulo Bernardo react to Alex Valle news

Alex Valle enjoyed a small stint in the colours of Celtic.

The 21-year-old was supposed to spend the entire 2024/25 campaign at Celtic, but things changed pretty quickly during the January transfer window.

Valle left unexpectedly, even to Brendan Rodgers’ surprise, amid the talk of Kieran Tierney returning to the club, which didn’t happen in the winter, but will happen in the summer.

The rising Spanish star then proceeded to return to Barcelona, and he was loaned out pretty much straight away by the La Liga champions.

Valle was then sent to Como 1907, who are managed by Cesc Fabregas, and to no surprise of the Celtic Park faithful, he enjoyed himself and performed very well.

Alex Valle secures a permanent transfer to Como after Celtic January exit

Luis Palma and Paulo Bernardo shared a pitch with Valle before his exit, including the former leaving on a loan deal to Olympiacos in January.

But when the Spaniard’s move to Como was confirmed, his former teammates shared their thoughts in the comments section of Valle’s Instagram post.

Who will be Celtic’s left-backs next season?

Tierney is tagged in for next season, it’s just a case of who joins the Scotland international on that left flank.

The easy thing for Celtic and Brendan Rodgers is for Greg Taylor to stay on board, but it seems as though he is running his contract down, and he will leave.

Jeffrey Schlupp’s contract at Crystal Palace also expires at the end of June, so will Celtic bring him back in? It doesn’t seem like they will.

Therefore, some extra shopping needs to be done by Celtic during the summer transfer window.
