The excitement continues for those repping Celtic colours.

The end of May will cap off another stunning campaign from Brendan Rodgers’ side, including the hope that Celtic will win another Treble.

Then, all eyes will turn to the much-talked-about and hyped up summer transfer window, where teams across Europe will inflate prices, ruin the market, and link every player to every known club.

Celtic will be among the chaos, and it will be interesting to see what type of road the Scottish champions go down.

As of this moment, the 2025/26 campaign will be Rodgers’ final season at Celtic because his contract expires, but that doesn’t mean he still isn’t at the heart of what will happen when the transfer window re-opens.

Brendan Rodgers talks about Celtic’s summer transfer window

The expectation is that Celtic will be busy in the summer, especially given how things panned out during the winter transfer window.

But Jota’s long-term injury has thrown a spanner in the works, as Rodgers told Sky Sports that it is making the club ‘look at different things’.

The Celtic manager was asked about the input he has had in what’s going to happen, as the team chase the Treble on the field of play, ahead of the Premiership clash against Aberdeen on Wednesday night.

Gordon Duncan asked Rodgers: “What’s the job for you like right now? The focus is on that cup final, the football doesn’t stand still. Are you already down the line with what you want to start happening in the summer? Whether that be transfer business or other plans. Do you feel like you are ahead of the game or involved in that process already?”

Rodgers responded: “It’s constant. It’s not something that just takes place now. We started months ago on that.

“Of course, the injuries like to Jota, then it makes us look at different things as well. The preparation for that is always ongoing.”

Rodgers’ message to his Celtic players

Rodgers might be reeling off the Trebles, but make no bones about it, he is making it look easy when it never has been.

This isn’t the norm in Scottish football, but Rodgers has made the utterly ridiculous just that, and a big part of that is the club’s mentality.

Ahead of the final few Premiership matches and that Scottish Cup final, the man in the Celtic Park dugout had a clear message for his players, as he told Sky Sports.

“But, at this moment in time, my main focus is ensuring that we finish this season strong,” added Rodgers.

“Our relentless mentality has seen us do ever so well this season, and we have to keep that going.

“Like I said, this is the really exciting time if you are a Celtic player. When you get the opportunity to play these games at the back end of the season. To do our very best. Pick up a trophy as a reward for your dominance and your game.

“And then, with a final chance to cap off what would be a stunning season for us.”
