The clock is ticking for Celtic to bring in a striker for Martin O’Neill.
You wonder whether Celtic’s transfer plans have changed following Wilfried Nancy’s exit because Kieron Bowie continues to be linked with a move to Parkhead.
The Hibernian striker got back on the scoresheet at the weekend, as David Gray’s side recorded a 1-1 draw against Motherwell.
But could Bowie move to Celtic this month? Michael Stewart made it pretty clear what the Hibs man should do.

From the perspective of Hibs, Stewart stated that he would be ‘astonished’ if they decided to sell a key asset midway through the campaign.
However, Alan Hutton did point out that, if a fee of up to ‘£7 million’ is put on the table for Bowie’s talents, then they would be seriously tested.
Despite all of that, Stewart thinks that Bowie should stay at Easter Road for another ’18 months’ and there should be ‘no rush’ to leave a progressing Hibs side, as he told Premier Sports.
Hutton: “It depends if the money is there on the table. If they get an offer that’s acceptable. If it’s £6 and a half, 7 million. Whatever it may be, then it’s going to test their resolve, isn’t it?
“But I don’t think they would want him to go. They would want to keep him, at least until the summer.”
Stewart: “I would be astonished if Hibs sell him in January. Again, I suppose it comes down to what Alan is saying about if somebody was to reach that number, then it poses the question.
“But my advice to Kieron Bowie right now would be, there is no rush to get out of that door. He is starting to find a wee bit of form again.
“Even next season, the best thing he can do for his career would be to stay at Hibs for the next 18 months. Get to this stage next year, and realistically start talking about what is he looking to do?
“This is a Hibs side that are very good. He is a real part of that. I don’t think there is a desperate urge or need for him to look to potentially go and take another step just yet – I would be very surprised if he were to leave.”
