A former Celtic transfer target looks set for another move away.
Celtic have been linked with plenty of options over the last few months and as the January transfer window creeps up around the corner, speculation is beginning to intensify.
Brendan Rodgers called out the lack of depth in his squad on a number of occasions and whoever replaces him will have the same issues.
Eight Hoops players are out of contract in 2026 and key players like Daizen Maeda could depart in January.
It isn’t just Celtic players expecting movement, as one former target knows.

Poll: Which position do Celtic need to strengthen in the 2026 January transfer window?
Mateusz Bogusz set to leave Cruz Azul
Some fans may remember Mateusz Bogusz’s name from the Hoops’ previous links.
The midfielder was tipped to make a move to Parkhead but remained in the MLS with LAFC before making the switch to Mexico to join Cruz Azul.
But, according to Tom Bogart, the Poland international is already considering a move away, with a number of MLS clubs interested in signing him.
Midfield is a position that Celtic could do with a refresh in and the 23-year-old could be the perfect option.
Celtic chose to sign Arne Engels and Luke McCowan instead of Bogusz
Bogusz could’ve been wearing the green and white of the Celtic kit when the Hoops were strongly considering a move during the August 2024 transfer window.
In the end, they chose to go with other options and pay £11m for Arne Engels, who became Celtic’s record signing.
Luke McCowan also joined that day too.
The interest was credible, with Bogusz even admitting to it in a press conference while with LAFC before insisting his focus was on his current club at the time.
In September 2024, he said: “There was possible movement for me. At the end of the day I stayed here and I am very happy. That is all I can say about this situation. Of course I knew about that (Celtic’s interest). I just try to not get involved in this situation, I was focussed on playing for LAFC.”
