Nicolas Kuhn is about to leave Celtic for Serie A side Como.
Como entered into transfer talks with the Hoops last week, but it appeared negotiations were dragging on a bit with no agreement in sight.
Como signed Real Betis youngster Jesus Rodriguez, and are about to seal the deal for Jayden Addai from AZ Alkmaar. Both are wingers, which put the Kuhn pursuit in doubt.
However, Fabrizio Romano reported Como had struck a deal with Celtic over the transfer fee for Kuhn, with personal terms agreed in principle.
Now, Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has provided a number of interesting details about the transfer, including the real fee, contract length, release clause and when his medical is.

Exact transfer fee agreed between Celtic & Como
Initially, Romano reported on Thursday that a €19m transfer fee had been settled on between Como and Celtic.
Well, Plettenberg actually claims that the Italians will pay the Hoops €20m in total. So that works out to be around £17.2m for Celtic and a big profit.
Is there a Kuhn release clause?
Celtic often negotiate a sell-on percentage when a player transfers out of the club, especially if they are young and have scope to develop even further.
But Plettenberg is reporting that no sell-on clause has been inserted in Kuhn’s Como contract, so the £17.2m transfer fee will be the total income for the Hoops. No future fee if Kuhn moves again.
Will there be add-ons?
Potentially, according to Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph. On Friday morning, he stated that Celtic are pushing to secure ‘add-ons’ as part of the deal.
Kuhn’s Como contract length
When Kuhn signed for the Bhoys in January 2024, he penned a five-and-a-half year contract that would expire in the summer of 2029.
And that will be when his Como contract expires too, provided he doesn’t sign an extension beforehand. Thus, the German has put pen to paper on a four-year deal.
When is Kuhn’s Como medical?
Plettenberg claims Kuhn will undergo his Como medical on Monday, July 7 or Tuesday, July 8 – so the start of next week at some point.
It means Como are likely to announce the transfer officially by the middle of next week.
