‘Oh my’ – Norwich City fans issue a brutal reaction to transfer links to Celtic’s Hyunjun Yang

Could another attacking player be leaving Celtic this summer?

Nicolas Kuhn has already joined Como, with Celtic accepting just over £16 million for his talents, and now a replacement is needed.

Perhaps Celtic see summer capture Benjamin Nygren as that player, regardless of whether they do or don’t. One thing is for sure: another winger would be needed if Hyunjun Yang leaves.

Yang has been linked with Norwich City, and this transfer link has resulted in a few interesting reactions.

There has been more change at Norwich this summer, with Liam Manning taking charge, as the Canaries aim to earn a place in the English Premier League.

It needs to be noted that Norwich have lost a big player in Borja Sainz, and with Yang popping up as a possible replacement, their fans haven’t taken it too well.

There were a few who were open to Yang joining from Celtic, but for the most part, there were some brutal reactions to it all.

@LeoEmerNCFC72 isn’t too impressed: ‘If that’s our idea of a Sainz replacement, then I’m going to end it all.’

@Norwichlad1 used one word: ‘Underwhelming.’

Another unimpressed Norwich supporter:

A Norwich City fan who rates Yang: ‘Would be very much up for this. Really rate Yang. Would be a tricky deal to complete.’

@NCFCFINLAY15 shared what Celtic fans think of Yang: ‘Celtic fans don’t seem to rate him…’

And that theme continued, as @5now_uk added: ‘Celtic fans have picked him for the next scapegoat looking at the forums.’

This Norwich fan can’t believe it, as @sampriv27 stated: ‘Oh my word, you’re kidding me.’

@Ginger_Canary used Pukki as an example: ‘A lot of Celtic fans in the qrts don’t seem to rate him, but they didn’t rate Pukki either, and look what happened there. Besides,it can’t be as bad as the last South Korean player we signed, right?’

@ncfc024 thinks Norwich can fish for ‘better’: ‘Surely will be a better player and a better person than our last South Korean 👀.’

Yang’s record at Celtic

The South Korea star joined Celtic during the summer of 2023, when Rodgers returned to Celtic, and his progression has been rather slow.

Even someone like Kuhn has come in, made a name for himself, and earned himself a big transfer.

There was some improvement from Yang last season, but not enough where the supporters see him as a regular starter.
