Brendan Rodgers desperately needs fresh quality impetus into his squad.
Celtic are floundering in the transfer market and fans blamed the board vociferously for the disappointing 0-0 draw with Kairat Almaty on Wednesday night.
Rodgers stressed it’s not his decision in terms of finalising transfers as he waits for Celtic’s board to get the necessary business done before the close of the window.
Celtic heroes Pat Bonner and Aiden McGeady spoke on BBC Sportsound after the game and discussed when deals will be completed between now and September 1.

Bonner and McGeady on when Celtic will make transfers
Bonner thinks that having watched the 0-0 Champions League play-off first leg stalemate, the board will hold off signing players until next week.
However, McGeady thinks the reverse is the case and transfer activity could be ramped up over the next few days.
Bonner: “Whether he’ll get money after tonight, I’m not so sure. He might have to wait until next week now. I thought with a good result tonight, they might have gone to the market very quickly, but I don’t think that is going to be the case.
McGeady: “On the contrary, I think it might be slightly different because a good result maybe means that you’re fine for the second leg, but I think we might see some movement over the next few days after a goalless draw tonight with so much possession.”
What do Celtic need before deadline day?
It was clear last night that Adam Idah is not the longer term answer for Celtic having been hooked at half-time for Yang Hyun-jun.
Rodgers had a message for Idah after the Kairat stalemate and explained why the Irishman was subbed off after just 45 minutes of action.
He said: “It didn’t quite go for him first half. I wanted a bit more activity in and around the box. “Adam is a good, honest boy. He’s not started how he’d like, and in games like this here I can’t afford to wait.”
Celtic are desperately missing firepower in central and wide attacking areas, with Nicolas Kuhn sold and Jota injured.
Two new wingers, a quality striker and possibly another left-back for Kieran Tierney if Hayato Inamura is to leave on loan.
