There will be many plans and ideas on the agenda for Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou as we head into the summer transfer window.

Early reports have suggested that the 56-year old is keen to complete his business as early as possible, with links to left-back options such as Mohanad Jeahze.

However, one of the first moves that are likely to be on Postecoglou’s agenda is signing the loan duo of Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers.

At this early stage in the summer, the majority of reports have been focused on the Hoops’ pursuit of Jota, with the Portuguese winger’s deal being further down the line.

We are yet to hear as much about the deal to sign Cameron Carter-Vickers, who also played a huge role in helping fire Postecoglou’s side to the Premiership title this season.

However, late on Sunday evening, American based journalist Larry Henry (@lhenry019) provided a fresh update on the latest surrounding Celtic’s attempt to sign the 24-year old central defender.

Henry stated that the Bhoys have until June 15th to conclude a deal with the American internationalist’s parent club, Tottenham Hotspur before other sides are able to enter the race to sign Carter-Vickers.

There has already been heavy interest in the Celtic loanee, with Everton being the latest English Premier League side linked with a move.

Since Carter-Vickers’ arrival last summer, the journalist has provided accurate updates on the defender and again cites a source close to the player.

Celtic included an option to buy in the deal to bring Carter-Vickers to Parkhead and now appear to have been handed a deadline for when the deal must be complete before Tottenham listen to other offers.

Decision time for Celtic and Carter Vickers.

After such an incredible season, you would hope that both parties are more than keen to get this deal over the line.

Looking at the last 12 months, Celtic have provided Carter-Vickers with a brilliant platform, which has allowed the defender to return to the international scene thanks to his performances.

Next season, the Hoops also face the prospect of Champions League football, and that could play a huge factor in the defender’s decision making.

Of course, there is still plenty of time for this deal to be complete as we approach June, and patience will be needed in our approach.

But, it would be good to have Carter-Vickers future with the club secured as soon as possible, in good timing for an extended break and pre-season.
