Scott Brown is certain that Celtic will look to bring in ‘another striker’ during the January transfer window, and possibly a winger.
It has been a fairly quiet start so far to proceedings, with more noise about who has left and who will leave this month.
That is probably understandable because the powers that be at Celtic need to get the finances in check before adding more quality to the squad.
Whilst players like Luis Palma are being dubbed signings of the season, there have been a fair few hiccups with other players that were brought in, so things can’t be rushed here.
Scott Brown did point out that Brendan Rodgers does have ‘strength in depth’, even though he will be looking for starters this month, with injured players set to return, as he told Sky Sports.
But what would be considered the main area of focus for the Bhoys? Yes, Kyogo Furuhashi isn’t hitting the volume of goals everyone expects, but he has still stepped up when mattered most.
Whilst some debate that topic, Scott Brown is pretty clear about what’s going to happen, as he sent this exciting transfer message.
Celtic’s January transfer window
“I am sure they will look at another striker, they always want to make sure there is competition high up the park and maybe another winger as well,” said Brown.
“They do have good strength in depth in the squad and they have a couple of players coming back from injury.”

Celtic’s defence
You could make the argument that this should be the area of priority and not the attack.
Three centre-backs were signed in the summer. Nat Phillips has returned to Liverpool, there is strong talk that Gustaf Lagerbielke could leave, whilst Maik Nawrocki has only played 275 minutes of Scottish Premiership football.
Plus, Cameron Carter-Vickers has been out of action with two separate injury spells, so another centre-back should surely be in the offing.
Then there has also been talk about a possible left-back coming in, Liverpool youngster Owen Beck has been discussed after his successful loan spell at Dundee.
