Sky Sports have provided a huge update on Celtic’s approach for Sebastian Tounekti.
The Hammarby winger has teased a move to Celtic this summer but the Hoops have failed to meet the demands for the Swedish club’s star player.
Hammarby’s director of football said Tounekti would be staying at the club, however, the latest update suggests there has finally been a breakthrough.

Sky Sports confirm Celtic have lodged a third bid for Sebastian Tounekti
The Sky Sports reporter posted an update which confirmed that the Hoops had made a £5m bid for Tounekti.
This third transfer bid is rumoured to be around the £5.2m mark, some £200,000 more than the £5m that Hammarby were wanting before considering a possible sale.
Joseph’s colleague Gordon Duncan confirmed the news, adding: “Over at Celtic, business happening there as they try to bolster their attacking options as well. Sebastian Tounekti is the name Celtic fans have been looking out for. A £5.2m bid has now gone in. It’s Celtic’s third bid as Brendan Rodgers looks for attacking reinforcements.”
Despite the ongoing noise around his future, Tounetki played for Hammarby in their 4-0 win against Osters on Sunday.
Who else could be joining Celtic?
If things go to plan, Tounekti won’t the only arrival on deadline day.
Talks with Kasper Dolberg are still ongoing and there are hopes for a breakthrough but there are also moves for other players.
Strasbourg forward Sekou Mara is another option being looked at on loan.
