Partick Thistle want Celtic Academy graduate Ben McPherson
Young Ben McPherson has been enjoying this season on loan away from Celtic at Partick Thistle as he looks to continue his first-team development.
Former Rangers coach Alex Rae praised the Celtic youngster as being ‘brilliant’ as he impressed at the Maryhill club where Rae now assists manager Mark Wilson.
Journalist Alan Nixon reports on his Patreon that Thistle ‘want to keep’ McPherson and hope to land the Celtic youngster for free when his contract expires at the end of the season.
McPherson could make Celtic exit to England despite SPFL interest
However, Wilson faces competition as Nixon says that there are a number of clubs keen on McPherson with the Celtic kid in ‘no rush’ to make a decision about his future.
Clubs in England are said to be keen on McPherson on a free and Nixon also said Celtic could look to sell him in the January window.
Whatever happens, it appears that the young right-back is in demand and if McPherson does decide to leave Celtic, the defender won’t be short on suitors.
