Celtic have a number of young talented footballers at the club but one of them who is with Alex Rae at Partick Thistle, has left the former Rangers man blown away.
The Championship club have taken a number of young Celtic players to Thistle this season as manager Mark Wilson looks to make a big push for promotion to the SPFL.
So far, it appears to be working as Wilson’s team sit second in the league with some of Celtic’s youngsters making a big impact on that.
And now, Firhill coach Alex Rae can’t help but talk up one Celtic youngster who has left him in awe this season with some brilliant performances for the second-tier Scottish club.

Alex Rae is blown away by ‘great’ experience working with Celtic youngster Ben McPherson
Young Ben McPherson joined Partick Thistle from Celtic on loan this summer and has made an instant impact at the Championship club.
The young right-back has been a mainstay in Mark Wilson’s first team and Rae has been blown away by the Celtic Academy graduate.
Rae told The Herald, “He’s been brilliant. He comes in here every day and I’ve seen this where someone – and I mean this as respectfully as possible – comes from the O-d F-rm and then they drop down a division and they think, ‘I’m big…’.
“But he hasn’t. He’s actually buckled down and integrated very well into the group.
“His performances have been brilliant so far, so it’s just been great working with the boy.”
Celtic kid McPherson’s impact at Partick Thistle rewarded with Scotland call
Young McPherson has appeared in all but two of Partick Thistle’s fixtures since his move from Celtic this season.
The Hoops kid missed the 1-1 draw with Morton yesterday after McPherson was called up to the Scotland squad with Celtic’s Kieran Tierney this week.
The young defender has impressed Steve Clarke and it appears that he could not only have a future with Scotland, but also with Celtic if McPherson continues to show the superb attitude and confidence that he has done whilst on loan this season.
